世界銀行キャリアセミナーを開催しました
2021年11月12日 09時49分2021年11月11日（木）、世界銀行水資源管理分野シニアエコノミストの小西徹氏をお迎えし、「世界銀行キャリアセミナー」を開催しました。
セミナーでは、小西氏より"Global Water Crisis -What is the nature, how the World Bank is responding and my engagement"と題してご講演いただき、国際機関の活動に関心のある学生と活発な議論を行いました。
本セミナー後、IUCN（国際自然保護連合：スイス）インターンシップ説明会も開催され、自然保護寄附講座履修生のほか、海外インターンシップに興味のある多くの学生が参加しました。

2021年11月2日 11時12分世界銀行にお勤めの小西徹さんをお迎えし、国際キャリアセミナーを行います。
またセミナーの後に、IUCN（国際自然保護連合：スイス）へのインターンシップの説明会を実施します。
卒業後、国際的なフィールドで活躍したい方、海外インターンシップに興味のある方、（そうではないけど）ちょっと話を聞いてみたいという方はふるってご参加ください。

～小西さんご経歴＆メッセージ～

Dr. Toru KONISHI:
1983. B.S in Civil Engineering (University of Tokyo)
1983-88. Civil Engineer at Shimizu Cooperation
1993. Ph. D in Economics (University of California, San Diego)
1993 - Present Senior Economist at World Bank (Water Resources)
Worked in East Europe, South Asia and Southeastern Asian countries, engaged in water resources policy dialogues and infrastructure projects.
World is now experiencing the water crisis - and the situation will get worse because of climate change, population growth and rapid urbanization and industrialization.
While water is essential for all lives, too much water can cause floods and water is easily contaminated.

This lecture summarizes the current situation of water crisis, and the nature of the water as a natural resource, and how the World Bank can help countries respond through multi-disciplinary approach, and at last, I will also present myself as a case study to help participants visualize their potential future careers.
